PHOENIXFIRE 9

THE FOUR COWBOYS OF APOCALYPSE 2.0

PART 1, CAPITALISM

click here to play the show

Everyone is familiar with the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, though not all know their pedigree. It’s the name given to the revelation of the future granted to St John on the Isle of Patmos. The horsemen themselves are Pestilence, War, Famine and Death (not necessarily in that order, depending upon which reference is consulted.) Their names (which might disincline people from wanting to bet on them in the Kentucky Derby) have made the word ‘apocalypse’ almost synonymous with Doomsday, which is, strictly speaking, incorrect. It derives from a Greek word meaning to ‘reveal’ or ‘disclose’ and by extension , it means a prophesy or vision of the future, not necessarily an ominous one.

Doomsday is quite another matter, more appropriately linked to another familiar word from Revelation, Armageddon, the site of the final decisive battle on the Day of Judgment, in which the Lamb bests the Whore of Babylon … and throngs of otherwise certifiable people are whisked off to heaven. It’s not easy to make rational sense out of Revelation (which doesn’t mean it can’t make sense on some other level) but it does read like it’s been written on something at least as potent as ayahuasca, though there’s no record of John visiting the Brazilian rainforest. On the other hand, who knows what they had growing on Patmos?

In any event, The Four Horsemen are pretty obvious. They ‘ve been around and universally active since long before St. John’s time and still are; no surprises there, and no need for further elaboration beyond perhaps noting that of the four, only War is directly attributable to errant, defiant, violent humanity. Unless, of course, it is argued (and so it is by some) that the other three horsemen are set loose in divine retribution; for a variety of human abominations –homosexuality, pre-marital sex, smoking or ingesting illegal substances, not wearing a seat belt, and so on.

The Four Cowboys of Apocalypse 2.0 are much less obvious, yet in one way or another they aid and abet the original Four. In the Walt Disney 3D, HD Western/Action-Thriller/Horror/Farce called Western Civilization, they are the self-appointed posse, riding white geldings; wearing white Stetsons, galloping roughshod over the globe and spreading ‘tidings of comfort and joy’.

When examined closely, The Four Cowboys are no less destructive than the original Four Horsemen, maybe ultimately more so since they come in disguise. All of them are played, with characteristic ineptitude, by John Wayne. They differ from the Four Horsemen in that they are all, each one, directly and unmistakably human generated.

They are: Capitalism, Patriotism, Democracy and Technology

In PhoenixFire 9 (and 10, and maybe 11) we deal with them in turn.

The role of Capitalism is easiest to understand, almost obvious in fact, except to the leaders and economists of almost every country in the world. This Cowboy occupies the whole of PF9, which may sound excessive, but is nevertheless appropriate, since it is this Cowboy that is largely responsible for the financial debacle now unfolding globally, and from which there is no foreseeable release or return.

The other three Cowboys will be discussed in subsequent PhoenixFires.

I knew John was making sense years ago, but I am even more exited and listen even closer now that I know he's connected with Mr. Celente from trends research!

Just wanted to let you know - am spreading word re your podcast - enjoying it tremendously - following leads, researching names - terrific - just terrific!

ps, thought you might enjoy this bit of praise (see below)

[i've written the following description for a 'torrent.' that is all i had better say by way of introduction on the matter. jerit]

As promised (albeit four months on) here is Graham Hancock's spiritual evaluation of the implications of his book "Fingerprints of the Gods," again featuring his wife Santha's excellent photography.

As Hancock says in the beginning, he has been giving talks, presenting tantalyzing information from "Fingerprints of the Gods." But on this occasion, he felt moved to give a more spiritual talk on the subject. So the entire tenor of the evening is charged with frankness, candor, genuine appreciation, and (not least) fervent desire to cut the bureaucratic "red tape" impeding urgent research on the Giza Plateau.

In this atmosphere, a curious little man with a shopping bag (apparently he came to the presentation and bought Hancock's book, bless his heart) has the courage to join Hancock and Bauval on stage and, incredibly, actually does his earnest best at playing the part of apologist for Mr Red-Tape himself, Zahi Hawass, "Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities and Director of the Giza Pyramids Excavation," etc, etc.

The crowd is growing increasingly restless with this little gnome-like man holding the shopping bag, incredulous someone could actually defend bureaucracy when the fate of humanity itself very well could be on the line...

Enter none other than John Anthony West: No one else could have prevented a live-camera gnome-lynching except West, with his overwhelming good-natured wit, humor, and pre-eminent likability.

From this moment forward, John Anthony West won my ardent admiration.

I've since learned from West's podcast (http://jawphoenixfire.blogspot.com) that he and Hawass have, perhaps unbelievably, become something like good friends. Hats off to West!!

West, of course, incidentally, is the man who championed R.A. Schwaller de Lubicz's offhand remark that the Great Sphinx showed signs of water-damage: Over 250,000,000 people, thanks to West, have received the powerful--indeed, paradigm-shattering--information that the Sphinx is much, much, and again much older than Egyptologists believed . . . received that information, understood it, digested it, and have (thanks to West & co.) joined the ranks of those of us engaged in "upsetting the apple-cart."

And, if you're curious about that moment in the video when the audience sincerely applauds Hancock's suggestion that the fate of the world might depend on stopping horrid practices like the child-slavetrade, may I recommend you watch "Dan Burisch Uncensored?"

The Burisch video can be found at:

http://www.jerrypippin.com/UFO_Files_b-files.htm

But hang on to your seats: Whoever Burisch is, he's got one helluva story to tell!

Dying to listen to this, but can't figure out how to download it. Ideas?

Great episode. Very much agree with you idea of the "greed" factor being a subjective state rather than univseral. Economic theory teaches that it's "just greed". Well I think that's like saying it's "just origional sin". Basically it's a indoctination into mind-control. IMHO.
Church of progress lucifarian cult NWO conspiracy - they're all working for the same demon. Been around for thousands of years.

But you mentioned there were four horsemen of the apoc. War, Pestilance, Famine and death.

I would say like most of the Bible the words in it can be misinterpreted or taken too literally or simply mistranslated.

Pestilance could mean more than just plagues and sickness or disease. If taken as a metaphor more than a direct narrow and defined cause. For example It could mean ideological viruses, addiction to compulsive self destructive behaviors. All these could fit the profile of pestilance for they spread with the dynamics and power of what seems like a plauge or disease.

Famine. Could mean resource wars, greed, and utter selfishness. All which result in starvation in one form or another.

War is obvious.
Death could mean the fear of changing your way of life or thinking. Dissolution of ego perhaps...

anyhow thought I'd post it -
here

great show.

Looking foward to the next cowboy. Keep up that pricless work JAW.

Just finished listening to Phoenixfire 9 John. Great stuff.
It made me recall the ideas of historian Paul Kennedy (Rise and Fall of the Great Powers) who basically wrote that most of the empires throughout recorded history have followed a similar path – rise, greatness, decline and fall. In conclusion he saw the U.S. going down the same track. His thesis was pretty much rejected in the halls of political theory, for the ideas of Samuel Huntington (Clash of Civilizations) and the rubbish spouted by Francis Fukuyama (The End of History). That Fukuyama’s ideas (the victory of Western capitalism) ever took hold is no surprise as he came to be counted amongst the Neo-Cons. Ho-Hum. A wellspring of wisdom that lot for sure.

Although I agree the American empire is on the way out, I’m not so sure about capitalism just yet. As you rightly pointed out, the ‘old money’ will probably survive this financial crisis. The Rockefellers and Rothschilds are waiting in the wings, ready to pick up the ‘bargains’ as their family did in the 1930’s and long before that. Indeed they and their allies no doubt saw this coming, if they didn’t deliberately engineer it. The U.S. economy will be trashed, yes, and it’s currency dumped, but in it’s place they will give us a ‘new’ economic order (as they call it), a new ‘Bretton Woods’; that will no doubt see U.S. sovereignty emasculated and some sort of atlantic trading bloc or union created, as a precursor to later global government.
Then again, Chaos theory reminds us that the “best laid plans of mice and men often go astray”.

Regarding revolution, I just wonder if this might not be wishful thinking on our part. I’m quite alarmed at two developments in the military/political domain, that have been taking hold over the last 10-15 years. One is the growing use of unmanned combat vehicles (air, sea and land), i.e. robots by the military, and two, supplanting the military with private armies (aka Blackwater)/mercenaries. Robots follow their programmed instructions and don’t think about the consequences of their actions, and I suspect mercenaries think even less. Should the U.S. Army ever choose to swap sides, in some future revolution, and join the rebels, I fear they could well be faced by a combination of robot platoons and well-armed mercenaries. Any revolution in the U.S. could be a short lived affair, to be followed by a brutal dictatorship. Once again, let’s hope the gods of Chaos will have some input into world affairs, in our favour of course.
Thanks for doing this series John. Looking forward to the next show.
Regards
Anthony Z

Ah Mr. West, your sharp intelligent and attitude make me smile. I stumbled onto your website after reading "Serpent in the Sky," and listening to your Redicecreations.com interview, needless to say you've got a new fan.

Your work is nothing short of interesting, and if I had the funds I'd be in Egypt with you in a heartbeat.

Best regards,
Joe

Hi, congratulations for the blog, it's very nice!
I'd really like to ask Mr. West about that geo-panel for the studying of the Sphinx.
Since I watched The Mystery of the Sphinx documentary, I've been waiting eagerly to know what's happening around this.
Is there a place where I can be updated about it, and maybe even help a little? I think if more people knew about it, more and more could help.
This is an issue of major importance, right? Isn't there an official website for the geo-panel? or a blog? I tried to find something but could not, so I'm bothering you on your blog, sorry about that.
Now I'm just wondering (because I don't know what's happening and can only guess), if the problem with the geo-panel is gathering money, my humble suggestion would be the power of communication, the internet. Like The Mystery of the Sphinx shocked many, back in 1993 I think, now with the power of the internet the geo-panel could really "change history".
It takes almost nothing to let the world know about a project nowadays, and even having people around the world funding it through thousands of little contributions.
So I ask you kindly for an online place where we all can know what's going on with the geo-panel and know better how we can contribute.
If you need help, like web design or what else, I'm definitely sure there's a lot of people out there willing to participate, including myself.
Thanks for your attention!

Incredibly interesting and insightful from an individual with a unique experience of this madhouse that we live in... I deeply look forward to hearing more from J A West into the future.

And if money ever comes a little easier for me, the Magical Egypt trip would be a dream...
